- SAS Certified Specialist: Base Programming Using SAS 9.4
Successful candidates should have experience in programming and data management using SAS 9.4 and should be able to:- Read and create data files.
- Manipulate and transform data.
- Create basic detail and summary reports using Base SAS procedures like-means, freq.
- Identify and correct syntax and programming logic errors.
- –This exam is managed by SAS Institute Inc. and Pearson VUE.
- 40-45 multiple choice and short-answer questions.
- 125 minutes to complete exam.
- Passing score is 725; uses a score range from 200 to 1,000 points. For more information about scaled scores.
- Use exam ID A00-231; required when registering with Pearson VUE.
- Use exam ID A00-233 if you currently hold the SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 credential. This is a shorter, less
- expensive delta exam. It is 75 minutes, 18-22 questions, and costs $75 USD.
- This exam is based on SAS 9.4 .

- Advanced Programming Credentials
SAS offer two types of certificate for advanced programming: - SAS Certified Professional: Advanced Programming Using SAS 9.4 – New! Performance-based exam format. Program in SAS during your exam.
- SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9
- SAS Certified Clinical Trials Programmer Using SAS 9
